Patrick Gabridge’s A Light Under the Dome premieres in Boston.

A dramatization of Angelina Grimke’s speech to the state legislature, the play runs for four days in the Senate Chamber of the Massachusetts State House. The first of three plays in the “A Light Under the Dome” series that includes Miranda ADEkoje’s A New Era, concerning the 1895 National Women’s Conference, and Ginger Lazarus’ Nothing But Victory, concerning the 1915 defeat of the women’s suffrage amendment.
